Marbral Advisory is signed up to the IoD (Institute of Directors Jersey Branch) Diversity and Inclusion Leadership Charter which aims to provide a simple route map that will enable any employer, whatever its size and industry and wherever they are on their ‘D&I journey’, to make real progress in diversity and inclusion. As one of the first companies to sign up, Marbral Advisory continues to champion the Charter for the good of the community. 

Marbral Advisory takes a zero tolerance approach on direct or indirect discrimination against anyone. 

Race discrimination includes, but not limited to, you being treated unfairly/differently due to: 

• Your Nationality - covers citizenship of either a country of birth or naturalization 

• Your National origins - this includes being from Jersey 

• Your Ethnic origins 

Sex discrimination includes, but not limited to, you being treated differently or unfairly because of the following: 

• Your gender 

• Your sexual orientation 

• Your Gender Reassignment 

• Your Pregnancy and Maternity 

Age discrimination includes, but not limited to, you being treated differently/unfairly because of the following: 

• Your age 

• If you have a physical disability 

• If you have a mental disability 

• If you have an intellectual disability 

• If you have a sensory disability 

If you feel like you or a colleague are being treated unfairly, you should discuss this with your line manager as soon as possible to try to stop the behaviour quickly. Please refer to the disciplinary section 11 for further information regarding how this would be dealt with by the business. 

We are committed to championing a diverse workforce and ensuring our business is inclusive. We have taken steps to make sure D&I remains at the forefront of our decision making. 

What we have done/are doing 

  • We have signed the IoD Diversity and Inclusion Charter ensuring our continued investment and commitment to D&I in our organisation. 

  • Created an internal committee with representation across all levels and jurisdictions to focus on social value including D&I who report regularly to the SMT. 

  • Engage with colleagues from diverse backgrounds to incorporate their input into committee meetings. 

  • Reviewed our Company Handbook and Website content, language and accessibility with D&I in mind 

  • Actively promote events, content and awareness through our engagement channels 

  • Encourage managers and colleagues to undertake webinars and continued learning on the topic of D&I 

  • Offer flexible working and encourage flexible solutions to our clients 

  • Formed a partnership with the Jersey Employment Trust to offer paid internships to individuals with disability or long term illness – continued mentorship and possibilities for role with or associated with the business.
